1. Interpretation
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and phrases shall bear the following meanings:

  • ‘Advertiser’ means the person or company who has booked and will pay for the space;
  • ‘‘PJ Careers’ means the website which is owned and operated by PJ Publications and published by Pharmaceutical Press, the publishing organisation of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
  • ‘The Publisher’ means PJ Publications;
  • ‘User’  means any person who accesses or uses PJ Careers or any of its services, including the Advertiser

2. User Responsibilities
By accessing and using the PJ Careers website or any of its services the User acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The User agrees to fully comply with these Terms and Conditions, including acceptance of liability as detailed in clause 8.

The User shall indemnify The Publisher against all costs, claims, demands or expenses incurred by the Publisher as a result of any breach of these Terms and Conditions or howsoever arising.

3. The Publisher’s rights and obligations
All advertisements are accepted dependant on the Publisher's approval of the copy.

The Publisher reserves the right to edit, refuse, withdraw, exclude, defer and to act at its discretion with any advertisements submitted to it. Should an advertisement not appear due to the Advertiser’s fault, then the advertisement shall be paid for in full.

The Publisher also reserves the right to change the classification and date or make any other necessary amendments. The Advertiser may only cancel if the alterations are unacceptable, but may not cancel if the changes are outside of the Publishers control.

The Publisher can increase advertisement rates at any time. Acceptance of previous orders does not give Advertiser the right to rebook on the same terms. The Publisher reserves the right to amend the terms of any contract.

The Publisher will not accept liability for any loss or damage caused by errors, inaccuracy in the appearance, omittance, delayed publication or amendment.

4. The Advertiser’s rights and obligations
All advertisements must comply (where appropriate) with all relevant Acts of Parliament, the British Code of Advertising Practice and ABPI Code of Practice.

If the Advertiser cancels an unfinished contract or if an agreed number of advertisements are not placed within a specified period of time, then the Advertiser looses the right to any series discount that was previously negotiated.

If a claim is made against the Publisher in regard to an advertisement, then the Advertiser must fully reimburse the Publisher.

5. Intellectual Property
PJ Careers contains copyrighted and other proprietary information. Copyright in PJ Careers (including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics and software) is owned by or licensed to the Publisher. No right, title or interest in any content of PJ Careers or its trade marks are transferred or licensed to the User as a result of his/her use of the website. By accessing PJ Careers the User agrees not to use the content for any illegal or improper purpose.

6. Restriction on use of materials
No part of the PJ Careers service may be reproduced or distributed in any material form or medium other than in accordance with the terms of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended) without the permission of the Publisher.

Copying or storing of any of content of PJ Careers for other than personal use is expressly prohibited without prior written permission from admin@pjcareers.com
 
The User may create weblinks to PJ Careers content, but we reserve the right to withdraw such permission without explanation or notice if in our judgement use of such links is excessive or inappropriate. Other Users might not be able to access linked content unless they have registered and/or subscribed. If the User creates weblinks they must ensure that nothing on their website describes or implies that any part of PJ Careers is part of their website. Any page or file must be called in a new browser window with its URL displayed.

7. Links to other websites and services
PJ Careers contains links to other websites operated by parties who are wholly separate. Links to all third party sites are identifiable because clicking on them will launch new browser windows displaying the third party’s website URL. These links are provided for convenience and reference only and the Publisher is not responsible in any way for the content, operation or availability of such websites. Users accept that after they leave PJ Careers (whether knowingly or not), the Publisher is not responsible in any way for any material that the User encounters and the Publisher excludes to the fullest extent permitted by law all liability that may arise with respect to or as a result of such material causing any damage, costs, injury or financial loss of any kind.

8. Disclaimer
The PJ Careers service is provided “as is” and the Publisher disclaims any and all warranties, express and implied, including but not limited to any warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

The content should only be used for general information and use and not by way of specific recommendation or advice. The Publisher takes all reasonable care, but it does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, performance or fitness for particular purpose of the content or the website, nor does the Publisher endorse or accept any responsibility for any views, advice, recommendations or opinions expressed on the website.

The Publisher does not give any warranty in respect of the content of the website, including without limitation any warranty that the website is free from viruses or other contamination or that the website is compatible with any computer system, software and browser. The Users use the service and the information and material on PJ Careers at their own risk. The Publisher does not guarantee that the information contained in PJ Careers is identical to that found in any printed PJ Publications products, and the Publisher has no duty to update the information contained on PJ Careers to correct errors or otherwise.

9. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. By accessing PJ Careers the User agrees to accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in relation to any dispute that may arise in connection with these terms or use of the website.

10. Variation
The Publisher reserves the right to update and change these terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
