PJ Publications is a division of Pharmaceutical Press, the publishing organisation of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. We respect your privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Policy (‘the Policy’) is to ensure that we interact with all our customers in line with current legislation such as the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with their wishes. This Policy sets out how we may use or disclose personal information about you and your rights in relation to that information. By entering and using PJ Careers website (‘the Website’) you are deemed to accept all terms and conditions outlined in this Policy.

1. Collection of Personal Information from Website Visitors
PJ Publications/Pharmaceutical Press may collect and/or track:

  • your home server domain name, e-mail address, operating system, and type of web browser when you use PJ Careers;
  • your e-mail address if you communicate with us by e-mail;
  • any information provided by you in online forms, registration forms and contest entries (including demographic, financial and personal profile data);

PJ Careers website uses cookies. Cookies may save data about you, such as your name, password, user-name, shopping cart, screen preferences, and the pages you visit. When you revisit the Website, we may recognise you and customise your experience accordingly.

Information that identifies you, such as name, postal and e-mail address, telephone number, and other personal information, which you provide, may be added to RPS Publishing databases and used for future calls and mailings regarding website updates, new products and services, upcoming events and the status of orders placed online.

We will not disclose your personal data to any third party without your explicit consent other than to our agents or contractors, such as software developers, distributors or professional advisers, for the purposes of operating the Website and developing, manufacturing and distributing RPS Publishing products.

This Website contains links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of such websites unless they are owned and operated by Pharmaceutical Press. You should be aware of when you leave the Website. You should read the privacy policy of any website which may collect personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected through or in connection with the Website.

We have implemented security features to prevent the unauthorised release of or access to your personal information. But we are not responsible for the security of information transmitted to us via the internet. We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to or from the Website via the internet or by e-mail.

Your personal information will not be made available to anyone who does not need it to perform a specific job on our behalf without your explicit consent.

6. Opt-Out Right
You may opt out of having your personal information used by us for marketing and promotional purposes by updating your profile via the website.

7. Access to and Ability to Correct Personal Data
We will provide you on request in writing or by e-mail details of your personal information stored by us in relation to your use of the Website. This Policy is effective from 4 September 2009. We reserve the right to update and change this Policy at any time by publishing on the Website notice of the existence and location of the new or revised Policy.
